A confession: when I walk home at night, I talk aloud to myself. I don’t even pretend I’m talking on the phone. A big theme in my work is communication and its shortcomings. This font is one of several that I designed over the question: what if you could write and say anything and no part of it be understood? What would you say without the pressure of being interpreted?
Viewers are invited to type on a keyboard in front a screen that displays an invented font composed of joined nonsense glyphs. Their writing becomes immediately illegible. The screen scrolls to accommodate many secrets, and the keyboard setup prohibits highlighting and therefore copying and pasting.
