Thank you for reading my newsletter :)

⮤ an example of what I'm sending in the mail
Welcome to my letter with news, a thrice yearly update on the state of my career and life. In this installment you will learn about an upcoming group show I'm in, where in the world I am now, my time printing in Ojai, my latest book, how to receive a postcard from me, and somehow more.

TODAY
This morning, I biked on the Calumet Trail next to the South Shore Line, where prairie grasses were drenched by last night's rain (and drenched me as I rode through them). I witnessed the first movements of spiders in dozens of glistening webs.

THIS MONTH
I moved my traveling art practice to Beverly Shores, Indiana, where I have been working on a quilt. As I sew, I'm thinking about tradition, collage, obscuration, lost languages, and providing comfort in absentia.
I am delightfully close to a train station, so if you are in Chicago between now and October 13 and want to meet up, reach out!
LAST MONTH
I spent six weeks in Ojai, CA working with Norman Clayton at Classic Letterpress, where I refined some of my skills and gained a few new ones.

In my 1.5 months in Ojai, I printed two artist's books of my own, in addition to helping Norman print a fine press book. Until October 13th, you can order a copy of you are a little bit there (for an outrageously low price), whose handset type delivers a poem on longing. As always, more photos and a page-through are on my website.
