I lived in Rhode Island for several years before I went to the beach for the first time here. I was delighted by covering my hands in seaweed and untangling segments to examine and draw their shapes.
I made this reduction print last month after returning from my home state where the prairies are vivid--gray and purple that my camera can’t capture--even in winter.
