Goth Clown Cloth Gown was a private party held on October 19th, 2024 in Providence, RI by Iris Wright, Esther Grover, and Opal de la Peña. Guests were required to come dressed as goth clowns or in formal attire.

For this event, I made my costume, using mainly reused materials from the Creative Reuse Center of Rhode Island including leather, ribbons, various synthetic fabrics, fabric flowers, buttons, and elastic. The jewelry I made at the Steel Yard, including earring pendants with clown motifs that match the lasercut paper garlands for the event.

Complete with a themed playlist, desserts, and drinks, the evening was exactly what we'd hoped: a gathering of friends where every thirty minutes or so we would remember to look around the room and see a room of dark clowns.
